Sir Moments Salutes again

Tuesday 10 June 2014, 11:46am

Sir Moments, trained by Steve O’Dea, produced a last to first effort to take out Saturday’s Listed Daybreak Lover Stakes (1600m) at Eagle Farm.

The seven-day turn around from his thrilling Group II Queensland Guineas win proved no issue for Sir Moments as he picked up his rivals with ease.

Jockey Tim Bell patiently rode the son of Choisir, spotting the leaders some 10 lengths at the 600 metre mark before circling the field for an impressive victory.

The leggy chestnut took his career earnings to just short of $490k at only his tenth start.

Sir Moments will now head for the spelling paddock before being set for a possible tilt at the Group II Villiers Stakes in December.

Congratulations to Steve O’Dea and owners on an outstanding preparation that has returned three wins (including two stakes wins) from four starts.
