Prime Thoroughbreds - We have a Host of Leaders in our Team

Tuesday 29 June 2021, 7:34pm

Prime Thoroughbred’s current racing team is putting together quite a record. We have 22 horses that have raced in our team at present.  Sixteen of these are winners including the Stakes winning trio Rubisaki, Fituese and Xtremetime with Miss Divine Em and Miss In Charge running 4th in Stakes races.  This sees a stakes winner to winner ratio of 18.75% with a stake’s performed to winner ratio of 31.25%.  These are exceptional figures.

Three of the six yet to win have been placed with the six only recording nine careers starts between them.  All six have displayed nice ability.

The sixteen winners have won 40 races and $2,565,525 in stakes earnings with the total purchase price being $1,160,000 (Average $72,500). Five of the 40 wins were stakes wins (12.5%).

The current value of the 16 winners is about $4,500,000.

It should be noted we only syndicate about 15 yearlings in any year.  This includes weanlings we purchase.

Here are the highlight performers amongst our current team:

Rubisaki (4yo mare) She is from Rubick’s first crop and has won more races (8) than any other of Rubick’s progeny and has three of her sire’s five stakes wins to her credit.  She is Deep Field’s only Group 1 placed female.  She is an outstanding performer costing just $85,000 at the 2018 Inglis Classic Yearling Sale and has returned $1,249,900 in stakes earnings.  She is the highest earning stakes winning mare to come out of the sale.  She is valued at about $2,000,000 on the current market.

Fituese (4yo mare) She is from Deep Field’s first crop and was equal winner of Racing NSW BOBS  Horse Of The Year in the 2019/20 Season. She has won more races (6) than Deep Field’s other stakes winners. She is currently valued at $50,000.

Xtremetime (2yo filly) She is from Extreme Time’s first crop and his highest earning filly, only Metropolitan winning filly and only Stakes winning filly with two wins from just three starts and $131,725 in stakes earnings. She has won one of Extreme Choice’s three stakes wins. She was a $160,000 purchase from the 2020 Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale and could be worth $1,000,000 on the current market being a ½ sister to a USA Group 1 place getter.

Miss In Charge (2yo filly) She is by deceased sire Hinchinbrook and his only Metropolitan winning filly for the 2020/21 Season with a Sydney win from just four starts.  She was also placed 4th on debut in the Listed Calaway Gal Stakes. She has won $47,925 in stakes earnings to date.  She was a $120,000 purchase from the 2020 Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling sale.  She is currently valued at her purchase price.

In The Blink (2yo filly) She is by Champion Sire Pierro and is his highest earning 2yo filly this season.  She is yet to win but was placed 2nd in the rich Wellington Boot.  He cost $120,000 from the 2020 Inglis Premier sale and is valued at her purchase price.

There we have it.  We have plenty to be proud of and are punching well above our weight which we have done since purchasing our first yearling in 1997. His name was Let’s Jive.  He went on to be our first Sydney Metropolitan winner and Queensland winner.  Since then horses we have syndicated have gone on to win about 1000 races.
