Lightly raced filly Solicit continued her winning form with a last-stride victory at Moonee Valley on Saturday.

The three-year-old daughter of Street Cry got knocked around on the tight corner into the straight but, with Glen Boss on board, regathered her momentum to run down frontrunner Longchamp Belle on the line.

Trainer Matthew Ellerton said Solicit ($3.80) took time to recover from her win at Ballarat, claiming she had a lot of improvement in her.

"She really felt that run at Ballarat and took a week to get over it," Ellerton said.

He said he was concerned at the 600m of the Sportingbet Best Tote Plus 3YO Plate (1200m) when Solicit couldn't stay in touch with the leaders.

But Solicit picked up her momentum and ran home to nudge Longchamp Belle ($18) by a short head with May's Dream ($5.50) third, a long head away.

Ellerton said he won't be rushing Solicit, who has now won two of her three starts, saying she may be kept for an autumn campaign.

"We'll be playing it carefully, she is shaping more as an autumn filly," he said.

Boss said Solicit was still green with a lot to learn.

"She was very loose in her action and has got to learn how to gallop yet," he said.
