Greg Hickman already has one of country racing's richest events on his CV and now the Warwick Farm trainer wants to add a time-honoured bush Cup to his 2012-13 haul.

Hickman was the toast of the Scone Cup carnival when Taxmeifyoucan won the $500,000 Inglis 3YO Guineas, providing a large group of owners with a windfall on their $16,000 outlay.

As Taxmeifyoucan spells in preparation for a spring return, Hickman will switch his immediate focus to a stable stalwart who will be trying to win his first race in 12 months at Rosehill on Saturday.

In circumstances which almost mirror his $51 win at Rosehill on May 26 last year, Palasport is entered in a benchmark race over 1500m.

"The plan was to win the Nowra Cup with him on Sunday before the races were called off," Hickman said.

"Now he'll go around on Saturday and hopefully I can have him racing well by the time the Grafton Cup comes around."

The $150,000 Grafton Cup is the feature race of a five-day carnival and will be run on July 11.

Hickman will stick with Alysha Collett on Palasport after the 2kg-claiming apprentice was booked to ride the horse at Nowra.

The Australian Turf Club received a healthy 149 nominations for Saturday's meeting with interstate trainers providing solid numbers.

Entries for the Octagonal Handicap have been extended despite an 14-strong entry list which includes Nocturnelle, Riva De Lago, Said Com and Tromso from the Chris Waller stable.

There are 26 entries for the Eremein Handicap with Patinack Farm-owned horses Honourable Aussie and Maules Creek, due to be auctioned next week, figuring in the nominations.

Rosehill trainer David Payne dominates entries in the 2YO Plate with four nominations up against Waller's unbeaten Amovatio and the Peter Snowden-trained Moderate.

Amovatio made a winning debut at Canterbury on May 15 and Moderate did the same thing four days later at Warwick Farm.
