Corey Brown has changed the dates of a suspension from Rosehill and will give up the ride on defending titleholder Terravista in the Group One Lightning Stakes.

The Melbourne Cup-winning jockey was given a four-meeting ban on Saturday for low-range careless riding on third-placed Exceltic in the Canonbury Stakes.

He was to start the suspension immediately and miss the rich Inglis raceday at Warwick Farm next Saturday but stewards agreed to change the dates.

Brown will now be out from February 12 and return on February 18, the day after the Lightning Stakes at Flemington.

The alteration means he can ride in Sydney next week and the Hobart Cup meeting on February 11.

Brown combined with the Joe Pride-trained Terravista to win last year's Lightning Stakes (1000m), just a couple of months after his return from five years riding in Singapore.
