Black Caviar's daughter Oscietra is set to have her second race start after winning a jump-out at Flemington.

The Lindsay Park-trained three-year-old narrowly won the 800m hit-out on Friday morning, her second jump-out in preparation for her racetrack return.

Luke Nolen, who partnered Black Caviar to 22 of her 25 career wins, rode Oscietra on Friday morning and senior trainer David Hayes said the filly would line up in a 1000m maiden at Geelong next Friday.

Nolen is unavailable for the ride and the filly will be ridden by Regan Bayliss who partnered her in a jump-out at the track on July 26.

"If she pulls up and eats well during the week she'll run on the all-weather," Hayes said.

"We gave her a practice on it and loved it and she works on it at home.

"My gut feel is we'll get the maiden out of the way and then if she's racing well we'll be racing in black-type sprint races in the spring."

Oscietra drew a large crowd to Flemington on New Year's day for her debut up the straight where she finished third behind two well-performed, Limestone and Miss Wahoo.
