ATC honours owners' commitment

Sunday 30 July 2017, 6:22pm

While the major awards for the season have yet to be handed out, the Australian Turf Club has honoured the owners of some of those horses who might not make headlines.

At Rosehill on Saturday, several awards were given to recognise the owners' commitment with Godolphin taking the trophy for winning the most races on ATC courses during 2016/17.

The owners of Montauk received the trophy for their horse having the most starts (18) on ATC tracks during the season while Wyong-trained Isorich (12) got the award for the most by a horse trained outside the city.

Champagne Stakes winner The Mission was named the most improved horse while No Return was recognised for having the most starts at the Canterbury night meetings.
