Secret Number has provided trainer Saeed bin Suroor with a sixth win in the Doonside Cup on the first day of Ayr's Western meeting and will set his sights on a return to Australia.

Off the track for 313 days, the six-year-old was sent off a 6-1 chance and was always travelling smoothly for Danny Tudhope, the winner cruised up alongside Maleficent Queen two furlongs out before kicking clear.

Goldolphn trainer Bin Suroor suggested a trip to Australia was on the cards once more: "He's done well. We gave him a good break with the plan of maybe going back to Australia with him and after that I think we will.

"I think he's improving still and his last piece of work was very impressive.

"A mile and a half might suit him better still and he's at his best with cut in the ground. He probably won't get that in Australia but you never know, as long as it is safe ground.

"Physically he's improving and he's been gelded. I like him a lot."
