Big Day for Grand Syndicates

Wednesday 8 June 2016, 9:27am

It was huge day for the owners of Gee Whizzer and Grand Syndicates, as their John Price trained son of Written Tycoon easily accounted for his opposition at Geelong, and in the process took Grand Syndicates' prizemoney tally past the magic $1,000,000 mark!

Kept to the shorter sprint journey this time and under a splendid Dean Yendall ride, Gee Whizzer jumped cleanly and sat patiently behind the leader to the turn, before finding himself staring at a wall of horse flesh, unlikely to get out. From there it was some Yendall signature toughness that pushed the gelding through and almost non-existent gap where he let down strongly to score in style.

It was Gee Whizzer's 3rd win of his 16 start career while bringing up Grand Syndicates' 9th win of the calendar year and continuing their impressive 2016 strike-rate!
