South Coast trainer Robert Price has been one of the biggest supporters of the weekly metropolitan races for country horses.
And until Jostle was a late scratching last Saturday week he had had a runner in every Highway Handicap run since their introduction in October.
The five-year-old kicked out and got her near hind leg caught between the two rear gates but Price said she had come through the ordeal and he would give her another chance at Rosehill on Saturday over 1500m.
"She's never done anything like that before," Price said.
"She's come through it well but I am thinking of putting a barrier blanket on her just to make sure it doesn't happen again.
"The only problem will be the weather. If it's too wet then there's no point driving all the way up to Sydney.
"It's just a waste of a float trip."
Price won a Highway Handicap on November 14 with Dashie De Luxe with most of the winners coming from the southern and south-eastern districts of the state.
Canberra trainer Matt Dale has won four of the special events, most recently with Hermosa Beach who is among the 20 entries on Saturday.
Danny Williams from Goulburn has nominated three including La Bella Rouge, a winner on January 2 and Shutter Bug who shared her December Highway Handicap win with Pera Pera.
