Trainer Gai Waterhouse will need to find a new jockey for Australian Guineas hope Wandjina after jockey Damien Oliver had his appeal dismissed by the Racing Appeals and Disciplinary Board.
The seven-time Scobie Breasley medal winner needed one meeting shaved off the suspension to allow him to ride Wandjina in Saturday's Group One race for three-year-olds.
Oliver was appealing the decision and the severity of an eight-meeting out of Caulfield last Saturday, describing the careless riding charge on Armada at the low end of the scale.
The suspension is Oliver's fifth of the 2014-2015 season.
Oliver on Monday had a 12-meeting suspension from Ballarat last Thursday upheld by the RAD Board.
He is free to ride Happy Trails in the Australian Cup at Flemington on March 14.
