Ryan Moore's two Group One wins in Australia have helped the Englishman claim the inaugural World's Best Jockey title.
Moore won the Cox Plate on Adelaide and the Melbourne Cup aboard Protectionist and earned the most points to clinch the award sponsored by Longines.
Belgian Christophe Soumillon, who won Sunday's Japan Cup on Ephineia, finished with 88 points, six behind Moore.
Points were awarded on a 12-6-4 basis for first, second and third in Group or Grade One races from December 1 last year to November 30.
As well as his Australian successes, Moore won the Sheema Classic in Dubai, the Prix du Jockey Club and the Irish Champion Stakes. He also finished with three seconds and four thirds in the designated races.
Ireland's Joseph O'Brien was third on 72 points while Hong Kong-based Australian Zac Purton, winner of the Caulfield Cup on Admire Rakti, finished fifth on 58.
Damien Oliver, 48 points, finished sixth while two other Australians Tommy Berry and Michael Rodd made the top 10 at equal ninth on 42.
Moore's achievement will be recognised at ceremony on December 12 in Hong Kong, two days before the International meeting at Sha Tin.
