NZ 4YO El Roca to miss Regal Roller Stakes

Tuesday 12 August 2014, 4:48pm

An elevated temperature will force New Zealand star El Roca to miss Saturday's Listed Regal Roller Stakes at Caulfield.

Trainers Trent Busuttin and Natalie Young advised Racing Victoria stewards the four-year-old would not be among Wednesday's acceptors for the $125,000 race.

They told stewards El Roca would have a jump-out at Flemington on Friday week before they decided the race in which the Group One placegetter would resume in.

Leading Sydney rider Hugh Bowman was booked to ride El Roca in the Regal Roller Stakes.

Premier trainer Chris Waller has secured Bowman's services for Foreteller in the Group Two PB Lawrence Stakes as well as Acapela and Eigelstein in support races.
