Taxmeifyoucan has paid a heavier price than trainer Greg Hickman expected for his Scone Guineas win.

Much to Hickman's disappointment, Taxmeifyoucan has to return to racing at Rosehill on Saturday against Sydney's best sprinter Rain Affair in the Group Two Sebring Sprint.

Taxmeifyoucan banked more than $300,000 for his Guineas win and despite the race's restricted status, Hickman says his horse attracted an unfair ratings penalty for the surprise result.

"Realistically he's a class three horse and he's up against against a horse like Rain Affair," Hickman said.

"But he has come back well so it will be interesting to see what he does."

Only horses sold through an Inglis sale are eligible to race in the Scone Guineas but the 1600m event has a promising honour roll.

Sincero is a star graduate as a Stradbroke Handicap and George Main Stakes winner.

And this year's race has already produced a stakes winner with the fourth-placed Impetuous taking out the Listed Mona Lisa at Wyong.

Taxmeifyoucan, with Peter Robl back in the saddle, is one of the outsiders in the Sebring at $26.

Robl hasn't won on Taxmeifyoucan but he was in the saddle when the gelding ran third to Rebel Dane in the Royal Sovereign Stakes in February.
