Over 100 supplementary entries boost next week’s Melbourne August Thoroughbred Sale

A number of quality supplementary entries have boosted next week’s Inglis Melbourne August Thoroughbred Sale to 397 lots. The two day sale, held at Oaklands, starts Thursday, 15 August 2013 at 12.30pm.

With over 100 supplementary entries, some highlights include:

  • Storm Burst – stakes placed daughter of Danehill Dancer
  • Martindale Hall – multiple winning city placed daughter of Lonhro
  • Leica Ding – Group 3 winner of $268,000
  • Clawing – stakes placed mare by Catbird

60 racefillies and colts and geldings have been supplemented as well as the stallion proposition Resoloutes, a beautifully bred son of Redoute's Choice from the Eight Carat family.

As the last major sale prior to the commencement of the stud season, this sale offers breeders the opportunity to acquire some outstanding breeding prospects.

Prior to the sale commencing on Thursday, there will be a parade of first season stallions at 12noon. This now includes Encosta de Lago’s Group winning son, Needs Further.

Following Thursday’s broodmare lots, a Yearling Sale Presentation and Preparation Seminar will be held in the Dining Room at Oaklands commencing at approximately 4.30pm. With such an eminent panel of speakers, this seminar should not be missed by any breeder or producer of yearlings. The broadcast of this seminar will be available on Inglis TV following the sale. Friday’s sale session of new season yearlings, unbroken stock, race fillies and racehorses will commence at 10:30am.

The two day sale will be broadcast on Inglis Sale Day Live, with Online Bidding and Make An Offer services available for those buyers unable to attend.
