Stryker has got it all

Friday 7 June 2013, 9:53am

His first crop of weanlings captured the attention of all who saw them at the recent weanling sales. Reports from mare owners who have supported Stryker could not be more pleasing with many booking a return visit for 2013.

PHYSIQUE

Stryker is a magnificent looking stallion and the best news is that he is passing his admirable physical traits to his progeny.

He is athletic, well conformed and beautifully proportioned. With the best temperament imaginable Stryker has all of the key elements required for astute breeders

PEDIGREE

Stryker is from one of Australia's hottest families by Australia's hottest sire.

Fastnet Rock is the hottest sire in the land and his son Stryker is the next generation. Fastnet Rock has produced Wanted, Atlantic Jewel, Mosheen, Foxwedge and Your Song and continues to produce Group 1 winners in abundance.

Stryker's dam, Laetitia, also boasts a pedigree packed with superstars including More Joyous, Thorn Park, Denise's Joy and Bentley Biscuit

PROGENY

The quality of Stryker's first crop is undeniable and very exciting. They are athletic, well built weanlings and the response from breeders has been overwhelmingly positive.

It is so important to produce a beautiful type of horse and the Stryker progeny are most impressive. We look forward to the Inglis Australian Weanling and Bloodstock Sale in Sydney from 24th June

IN THE SALE RING

At the Inglis Easter Broodmare Sale the Stakes placed mare Fortune of War [by General Nediym] in foal to Stryker was purchased for $150,000 by Edinburgh Park Stud.

This was her first season at stud and it is exciting to see a mare in foal to Stryker so well received in the market place.

Initial weanling sale results have also been very strong. At the recent Magic Millions sale Stryker supporter Debbie Kepitis purchased a lovely Stryker filly out of Bold Moment. It is wonderful to have the Stryker progeny selected by such good judges and we are thrilled to know they will be going to great homes and receiving every chance with leading trainers such as Chris Waller.

The level of support from leading breeders has been incredible with Stryker covering 274 mares to date. Furthermore, the quality of mares Stryker has covered in his first two seasons is exceptional with many being stakes winners / performers.
