Bowman granted one-day Singapore licence

Jockey Hugh Bowman will have the opportunity to get his eye in before riding in an International Jockeys' Series in Singapore.

Bowman is the captain of an Australian team comprising Kerrin McEvoy and Mark Zahra in the series at Kranji on September 25, taking on teams from South Africa, the UK and Asia.

Before the series, Bowman has been granted a visiting jockeys' licence to ride at the Group One Raffles Cup meeting in Singapore on September 23.

Bowman first has business on home soil in Sydney before travelling to Singapore.

He rides champion Winx in Saturday's George Main Stakes at Randwick while the day before his Singapore excursion Bowman will be in demand at the Rosehill meeting when the Group One Golden Rose will be run.
