PRIME THOROUGHBREDS Update 07/08/18

Tuesday 7 August 2018, 4:28pm

I couldn’t imagine a better choice than Husson Eagle to win our last race of the 2017/18 Season.  On 1 August this gallant sprinter turned seven and he has given his owners a great ride as he heads into his sixth racing season.  Not many horses achieve this feat.  He has won $1,053,768 million and is

maintaining his zest for racing.  He is likely to be set for the $1million Magic Millions Cup to be run at the Gold Coast in January.  This is a carnival we have had great success at.  Husson Eagle is trained by Patrick Payne who is pictured above with him at Flemington.

Husson Eagle is joined by Raido, Makeadane and Annaman as the senior members of our racing team.

It is nice to have four, seven year olds coming through from the team of 13 I purchased in 2013.  It is a credit to our trainers and staff that these horses have had such lengthy and worthwhile careers.  These were not expensive horses with the four costing just $180,000.  Combined their earnings are in excess of $1,750,000 with hopefully more to come.

We have had great success over the years purchasing weanlings and yearlings prior to Christmas and syndicating them to our clients for much less than they would have cost if they had gone through a yearling sale the following year.  Invincible Al is one of these horses, Other good performers syndicated in this fashion include Pitt Street, Too Many Reds, Believe n’ Achieve, I Am Magic, Eramor and Holding.

We are offering three nice weanlings at present by the successful first season sires Sizzling and Epaulette going to Patrick Payne and the new boy Super One, a son of Champion Sire I Am Invincible heading to Darren Weir.  You can check these out on our website:

We had a great 2017/18 Season and started the new season off in style with Everard winning at Scone.

Our runners this week include Not Surprising at the Sunshine Coast tomorrow, Casa De Lago at

Warrnambool on Thursday, Husson Eagle and Invincible Al at Flemington and Almerheri at Kembla Grange on Saturday and Zelsignoret at Wodonga on Sunday.

I am expecting to have plenty of runners in the coming weeks with quite a few of our team having run in barrier trials over the past week.  These include the Adelaide Magic Millions winner Zizzis. I hope you enjoy your racing and back a winner in the coming week.

Invincible Al heads to Flemington on Saturday!!!
