Pedigree Points for this Saturday’s Run to the Rose

Thursday 7 September 2017, 9:39am

The Run to the Rose was launched in 2003 as a lead up for the newly created Golden Rose. Five horses have completed the Run to the Rose/Golden Rose double: Paratroopers (2005), Denman (2009), Hallowed Crown (2014), Exosphere (2015), Astern (2016).

Interestingly, all of them have ties to Godolphin, Denman, Exosphere and Astern were raced and now stand at stud for Darley/Godolphin, Hallowed Crown is now also on the roster, while Paratroopers, a son of the late Commands, was bred and raced by Woodlands, now part of the Godolphin empire.

Could Godolphin’s Kementari spring a surprise on his 3yo debut?
