Josh Adams banned for failing to ride out

Wednesday 23 August 2017, 6:12pm

Josh Adams has been suspended for failing to ride his mount out to the line in a race at Warwick Farm.

Adams pleaded guilty to the charge after Tenorino was beaten a half head for third He's A Given in the TAB.com.au Handicap (1400m).

Racing NSW stewards said Adams failed to ride out the Clare Cunningham-trained gelding by two strides.

He earlier won on Tenorino's stablemate Sir Barb.

Adams was suspended for six days from this Sunday meaning he will be able to ride on September 2 at Randwick where he is booked for the Pat Webster-trained Happy Clapper in the Group Two Tramway Stakes.
