Just days after siring his first Group I winner in Al Wukair, Aquis Farm shuttler Dream Ahead (USA) was back in the stakes groove at Deauville with promising filly Pursuing the Dream claiming Black Type success in the Listed Prix de la Vallee d'Auge.

The Jamie Osborne trained two year-old had shown good ability in six previous starts in the UK including a good sixth of 23 starters in the Group II Royal Ascot Queen Mary Stakes.

She scored a determined neck win in the five furlong sprint beating colts and geldings to break her maiden in style.

Pursuing the Dream was a 30,000 euro purchase from the Goffs Orby Yearling Sale and is the best of three winners from Dubawi mare Crimson Lass, a half-sister to stakes-winners Foodbroker Fancy and Femme Fatale.

Pursuing the Dream is the 11th stakes-winner for Dream Ahead, who was Australia's leading second crop sire last season by stakes-winners with four to his credit. 

An outcross sire, completely free of Danehill blood, Dream Ahead stands this spring at Aquis Farm in the Hunter Valley at a fee of $19,800.
