Classy fillies Catchy, Formality and Tulip are among 35 horses from Lindsay Park stables nominated for Victoria's richest race for three-year-olds, the Caulfield Guineas.

Group One winners The Mission, Invader and Summer Passage along with unbeaten colt Royal Symphony are also among the 327 contenders for the October 14 race, which has had its prize money doubled to $2 million this year.

"There is no doubt that the huge number of Caulfield Guineas entries received today is in direct relation to the rise in race prize money," Racing Victoria's racing manager Greg Carpenter said.

"It is one of the strongest Caulfield Guineas we've ever seen."

The three Lindsay Park fillies, who finished almost together in a Cranbourne barrier trial on Tuesday, are also among 237 nominations for the Thousand Guineas, the $500,000 fillies-only race, also on October 14.

Listed Fernhill Handicap winner Whispered Secret, NZ star So Far Sokool and J.J Atkins runner-up Aloisia are also entered.

Group One Blue Diamond Stakes winner Catchy is set to run first-up in the Quezette Stakes (1100m) at Caulfield on August 19 with the Coolmore-owned Formality and Tulip Sydney-bound.

All three impressed senior trainer David Hayes in their trial.

"I thought they were all good and it's just confirmed what I've always thought, there's not much between them," Hayes said.

"They all trialled well at Flemington and Formality went better today than at Flemington when she slipped.

"It was good to see Catchy handle that ground after not going on it in Sydney and Tulip is going beautifully."

All horses nominated for the Caulfield Guineas or the Thousand Guineas are eligible to run in the $350,000 Caulfield Classic over 2000m on Caulfield Cup Day.
