Tiffani Brooker chases Brisbane milestones

Thursday 20 July 2017, 10:43am

Apprentice Tiffani Brooker has a strong book of seven rides at Doomben on Saturday as she zeros in on two records to end the season.

Brooker rode a double at Doomben on Wednesday to take her metropolitan season tally to 48 and her overall number of winners to 66 for the season.

She is 22 winners clear of Lani Fancourt in the metropolitan apprentices' title and fourth on the senior riders' premiership.

Brooker has already set a record for metropolitan wins by a female apprentice in Brisbane and has two other milestones in her sights.

She has three metropolitan meetings left to become the first female apprentice to ride 50 winners in a Brisbane season.

Brooker also has a chance to better Tegan Harrison's record of 51 Brisbane metropolitan winners for a female rider set in 2015-16.
