Tiffani Brooker suspended for 13 days

Thursday 29 June 2017, 8:25am

Tiffani Brooker's chances to become the first female apprentice to ride 50 metropolitan winners in a Brisbane season have been dented by a suspension.

Caloundra-based Brooker rode her 46th metropolitan winner of the season when Beat Street scored at Doomben on Wednesday.

But Brooker was later suspended for 13 days after being found guilty of causing interference on her mount Clearwater in the second race.

Brooker has a solid book of rides at the Sunshine Coast feature meeting on Saturday including Banda Spice in the Glasshouse Handicap.

Her suspension will start after Saturday's races and end on July 15 after which there are four metropolitan meetings left in the season.
