New sponsor for Hawkesbury Gold Cup

Tuesday 18 April 2017, 9:22am

The Hawkesbury Gold Cup has a new sponsor with the Group Three race to carry the name Livamol, a product of the International Animal Health company.

Hawkesbury Race Club chief executive Greg Rudolph and Chris Lawlor of International Animal Health announced the three-year deal on Tuesday to begin with the Gold Cup on Saturday week.

Livamol is also the sponsor of New Zealand's premier weight-for-age race, the Livamol Classic at Hastings.

"We are thrilled to have an expanding international business, based locally and headed by a prominent owner and breeder in his own right, on board as a new sponsor for the next three years," Rudolph said.

"Importantly, International Animal Health Products and in particular the Livamol range, are highly regarded not only in the racing industry, but amongst the wider equestrian community.

The stand-alone metropolitan class meeting on April 29 also features two other Group Three races - the Hawkesbury Guineas and the Godolphin Crown.
