Black Caviar's mother Helsinge dies

Helsinge, the mother of undefeated champion mare Black Caviar, has died at the age of 15.

Owned by Rick Jamieson of Gilgai Farm, the unraced Helsinge made a significant impact as a broodmare, most notably as the mother of Black Caviar who was unbeaten in her 25 starts which included an Australian record 15 Group One wins.

Helsinge's progeny also includes multiple Group One winner and now stallion All Too Hard.
