Dean Yendall a scratching from Randwick

Friday 16 December 2016, 4:13pm

Victorian jockey Dean Yendall will pay $500 not to ride at Randwick on Villiers Stakes day.

Yendall had six rides on Saturday's program but when trainer Darren Weir decided to withdraw his four runners, Yendall was also a scratching.

Racing NSW stewards charged Yendall with failing to fulfil his commitments and hit him with a $500 fine after he pleaded guilty.

Blake Spriggs will replace Yendall on the Aleacia Bennett-trained Deny Allcharges while Ben Melham rides Brook Road for trainer Kris Lees.
