Tuesday 13 December 2016, 3:39pm

Jockey Ibrahim Gundogdu has escaped with a concussion following a heavy fall at a country race meeting in Victoria.

After falling from She's A Pluck in a maiden race at Bairnsdale on Tuesday, Gundogdu was transported to the local hospital for assessment.

The Victorian Jockeys' Association issued a statement saying Gundogdu's scans are all clear but the jockey has a concussion.

They were anticipating his discharge from the Bairnsdale hospital on Tuesday night.

She's A Pluck was vying for a finishing position in the top three before she fell around 50m from the finish of the 1000m race won by the $1.75 favourite Capannello.
