Williams and Shinn suspended at Caulfield

Saturday 15 October 2016, 7:17pm

Craig Williams and Blake Shinn will miss the Cox Plate meeting at Moonee Valley after being suspended at Caulfield.

Williams was suspended following his ride on Real Love in the Caulfield Cup while Shinn was banned for his ride aboard Moqueen in the Ethereal Stakes.

Racing Victoria stewards suspended Williams for 12 meetings on a careless riding charge.

He will miss the ride on Hauraki in next Saturday's Cox Plate.

Williams will start his suspension immediately so he return for the Bendigo Cup meeting on October 26.

Shinn will miss the ride on English in Friday night's Manikato Stakes after being outed for 10 meetings.

Apprentice Dylan Dunn received an eight-meeting ban for careless riding on Tris in the opening race.
