Young trainer Mitchell Beer can't wait to see lightly raced but talented mare Almighty Girl back on the racetrack at Caulfield.

The winner of two of her five starts, Almighty Girl makes her reappearance in the Listed Alinghi Stakes on Saturday.

Beer, who trains in partnership with Max Hinton, said Almighty Girl had undergone a faultless preparation ahead of her return including a jump-out at Pakenham last week.

Almighty Girl holds a nomination for the Darley Stakes at Flemington on the fourth and final day of the Melbourne Cup carnival although Beer indicated her next outing is likely to be in the Group Three Sensis Stakes for mares on the first day.

Beer said the plan after completing her first campaign in Adelaide in May had been to target Saturday's race first-up and then head to Flemington.

But if she wins and wins well, she could take on the Group One sprinters in the Darley Stakes.

"You never know what's around and some of these Group One races can drop off pretty quickly," Beer said.

"Sometimes there's only five or six starters so it's always good to hold a nomination and if you're facing up against Chautauqua and four others then it's worth having a look at.

"If she happens to win on Saturday and as she's a Group Three winner already we might decide to roll the dice and aim for a Group One placing and add to what is an already significant price tag for a broodmare."

Almighty Girl won at Group Three level at her third start lowering the colours of Secret Agenda and Super Cash.

Beer said her younger half-brother Zodiac Ruler had already added to the family's value with a Group Two win and a Group One placing as a two-year-old in South Africa.

Kerrin McEvoy replaces Singapore-based Glen Boss on Saturday with the filly rated the $6.50 third pick behind $4.80 equal favourites Flippant and Super Cash.
