Browne back in winners' circle

Wednesday 14 September 2016, 6:53pm

Damian Browne will increase his riding workload after maintaining his outstanding win strike rate with a double at Doomben .

Browne took a month's holiday in August and has been easing back into riding taking only 10 mounts at the midweek and provincial meetings for five winners and a third this month.

He had two rides at Doomben on Wednesday and both won - Manias ($3.10) and Go On Red ($3.30).

"I was supposed to return to Saturdays last week at Doomben but my mounts were in the last two races which were washed out," Browne said.

"But I have five rides on Saturday at Eagle Farm . They are starting to make me work."

Browne plans to be riding at 100 per cent to partner Queensland champion Buffering in the Moir Stakes on September 30 for Robert Heathcote who also trains Manias.
