German and Hong Kong Stars for Holy Roman Emperor

Holy Roman Emperor

Currently at Aquis Farm covering his first book of mares in Queensland, high class shuttler Holy Roman Emperor (IRE) is never without a good horse and his latest star is German trained three year-old filly Parvaneh, who took out the Group II T Von Zastrow Stutenpreis at Baden Baden on Saturday.

Already a Group III winner earlier in the year, Parvaneh is trained by Waldemar Hickst and scored a dominant two length win in the 1m4f turf feature.

A 175,000 euro purchase from the 2015 Arqana Breeze-Up Sale, Parvaneh is the best of three winners from College Fund Girl, a half-sister by Kahyasi to Group winners Nayyir, Sky Hunter and Highest.

The sire of 56 stakes-winners worldwide, Holy Roman Emperor is a versatile stallion, whose progeny excel over all distances and in all countries and particularly in Hong Kong.

At the first meeting of the new HK season at Sha Tin on Saturday, Holy Roman Emperor was straight back into the winners list with his Australian bred five year-old gelding Lucky Year winning the feature race on the program, the Hksar Chief Executive’s Cup, a Class 1 sprint over 1200m.

Sent out hot favourite by the Danny Shum stable and ridden by Joao Moreira, Lucky Year has won seven of 12 starts and seems destined for stakes success this season.

Holy Roman Emperor will cover a full book at Aquis Farm at a fee of $9,900.
