Omei Sword assumes Rose favouritism

Hong Kong's champion jockey Joao Moreira will ride Golden Rose favourite Omei Sword in the $1 million race.

Trainer Chris Waller confirmed on Monday the filly would take her place in Saturday's Group One race and she was promoted to the head of the market alongside Godolphin colt Astern.

Omei Sword assumed outright favouritism at $3.20 after she drew barrier three with Astern at $3.80 after coming up with gate 12 of 14.
