First Winner for Arlington

Monday 29 August 2016, 9:43am

A Group I placed half-brother to champion NZ sire Savabeel, Arlington posted his first winner at Canberra on Friday with a smart victory for Little Arli.

Arlington

Having his second start following an unplaced and luckless debut at Wagga back in April, Little Arli was favourite for the 1000 metre maiden and scored by half a length.

Trained by Ron Weston and John Nisbet, Little Arli was retained to race and is the fifth winner from five to race from good producing Kenfair mare Ebony Fair.

Little Arli is the first winner from 13 runners for Arlington, a son of top class sire Red Ranscom (USA).

Arlington stands at Tamalee Farm at Tamworth this spring at a fee of $4,400.
