Three winners in less than a week for Blueblood Thoroughbreds

Thursday 2 June 2016, 9:04am

The winning combination of Tim Martin and Christian Reith continued yesterday when Sea Sharp broke his maiden at Hawkesbury with a strong win in the MINX POMMEROY MAIDEN PLATE (2000 METRES).

Christian Reith positioned Sea Sharp nicely in the run and when he asked him to go, he let down well in the straight and proved too strong for his rivals going on to win by nearly 2 lengths. “The race worked out perfectly for us from the good draw. The horse was full of running coming to the 300m, I slowly let him go through his gears and I felt he attacked the line really strongly.” Christian Reith commented after the race.

It was the Sebring gelding’s first attempt at 2000m and he really appreciated the extra distance. It was also the first win for the Blueblood Thoroughbreds/Tim Martin partnership.

Sea Sharp became the third winner in just 5 days for the Blueblood team, with Vegas Strip and Madam Zabeel posting wins just days before. Black Denim also won only a fortnight earlier giving Blueblood 4 winners for the month of May.

Congratulations to all of the connections in Sea Sharp who looks to have a bright future ahead of him.
