Richard Johnson has joined the retired Tony McCoy to become just the second jockey to ride 3000 winners over jumps on Britain and Ireland.
Johnson brought up the milestone at Ascot aboard the Phillip Hobbs-trained Duke Des Champs on Saturday, his second win of the meeting.
Johnson brought up his 3000th career winner last month with that tally including four wins on the flat and two overseas.
Barring accident, Johnson will win his first jumps championship this season after being runner-up to McCoy 16 times.
"I'm lucky to do a job I love," Johnson said.
"Again it sounds so corny, but I've been very spoilt with so many good horses."
