Power Trip among Caulfield nominations

Maribyrnong Plate winner Power Trip headlines nominations for the Blue Diamond colts and geldings Preview at Caulfield.

This year's Blue Diamond series kicks off on Tuesday with the running of the Listed Preview (1000m) for the males and the Group Three Preview (1000m) for fillies.

There are 18 nominations for the colts and geldings division including the John McArdle-trained Power Trip and unbeaten Adelaide youngster Bullion Wolf.

Only six of the nominated juveniles in the males Preview have race experience.

Power Trip won his only start in the Group Three Maribyrnong Plate at Flemington in November and is at $15 in early betting for next month's Group One Blue Diamond.

Bullion Wolf has won his two starts at Morphettville and is a $26 chance for the Blue Diamond, the same quote as the John O'Shea-trained Cohesion who is also nominated for the Preview.

Cohesion finished fourth in the Breeders' Plate in Sydney at his only start.

The 26 nominations for the fillies Preview include the Mathew Ellerton and Simon Zahra-trained pair of Want To Rock and Sword Of Light.

Want To Rock won on debut at Flemington on January 1, a race stablemate Sword Of Light was scratched from after playing up in the barriers.

Sword Of Light has since gone back to the jump-outs at Flemington on the order of stewards.

"She got her ticket last Friday and she'll run in the Preview," Zahra said.

He said Want To Rock was given an easy time after her debut win and he was building up her work again ahead of Tuesday's race.

"She's a pretty push-button filly," he said.

"She just does everything right."

The Jason Warren-trained The Seductress, who has won her past two starts, will be among the fillies chasing black-type in the Preview.
