Naming a colt out of a mare called As Simple As That proved to be anything but.
Managing owner David Raphael rang trainer Gerald Ryan in frustration after trying and failing with the names he submitted.
"David and I were talking and he said 'who said it's easy' and I said `that's a good name. Put that in'," Ryan said.
It was accepted by the registrar and after two barrier trials Who Said It's Easy is scheduled for a Boxing Day debut at Randwick.
"He's a nice colt but I'm not sure where he sits among the two-year-olds," Ryan said.
Who Said It's Easy is a $15 chance with the Peter and Paul Snowden-trained Detective the odds-on favourite.
If Detective can win he will join his stablemate Capitalist in the Magic Millions Classic two weeks later at the Gold Coast.
Ryan will be without a two-year-old Magic Millions runner on January 9 but hopes to have Bachman and Peace Force at the $10 million day.
Bachman runs in Saturday's Goldmarket Handicap at the Gold Coast to prepare for the Magic Millions Trophy but Peace Force will miss the Boxing Day race.
"She will go straight to the Magic Millions mares race," Ryan said.
"We decided she didn't have to run on Saturday.
"She had to be scratched from Doomben a couple of weeks ago with a slight injury.
"She's fine now and having had a float trip to Brisbane and then back again, she doesn't need to run before the Magic Millions.
"Bachman has done well since his first-up win and has a nice draw in barrier six.
"This is a nice lead-up to the 1400 metres Magic Millions race in two weeks."
