Too Good To Refuse in line for Sydney trip

Thursday 17 September 2015, 12:12pm

Tough three-year-old Too Good To Refuse will have to win at Doomben to earn a trip to Sydney.

Too Good To Refuse and his Desleigh Forster-trained stablemate I'm Belucci are both entered for the Group One Spring Champion Stakes (2000m) at Randwick on October 10.

But first Too Good To Refuse will have to overcome the handicapper in Saturday's Brisbane Marriott Hotel Handicap (1640m).

"It will be a good test for him because I think he is harshly handicapped," Forster said.

"He was a rating 67 horse and then overnight when the weights came out he was a rating 68 horse," Forster said.

"It meant he gets top weight of 59 kilograms here so we will see how good he is."

Robbie Fradd, who rode Too Good To Refuse in his last-start Doomben win, sticks with the promising galloper.

"I considered claiming but in the end Robbie knows him well and a claim wouldn't make that much difference," Forster said.

Forster also entered I'm Belucci for Saturday's race but decided not to run the two against each other.

"We took I'm Belucci to Beaudesert to break his maiden status and he did it in style," Forster said.

"There is a race for him in two weeks and we will see where he goes from there.

"I am lucky to have two really good three-year-olds and I still have Cylinder Beach to come back to racing."

Cylinder Beach, third in the Group Two BRC Sires' Produce and fourth in the Group One JJ Atkins Stakes during the winter is several weeks away from a return.
