Brad Rawiller aiming for Valley return

Sunday 30 August 2015, 5:48pm

Jockey Brad Rawiller will have a scan on Monday but is confident he can make his return from injury on Dato Tan Chin Nam Stakes day at Moonee Valley.

Rawiller suffered a grade two tear in an adductor muscle in his groin in an incident in the mounting yard before a race at Bendigo two weeks ago.

The jockey said his recovery is on track and he is hoping to get the all-clear to return on Saturday at Moonee Valley.

"I'm having a scan tomorrow," Rawiller said.

"At this stage I'm pretty confident that my return will be next Saturday, but basically I just need confirmation tomorrow when I get the scan."

Rawiller notched seven winners in the first couple of weeks of the new season before his injury.
