Katelyn Mallyon labelled her first metropolitan treble a career highlight after guiding Miss Rose De Lago to victory in the final event at Caulfield.

After a race-to-race double earlier in the day aboard Japhils and Forgeress, Mallyon gave a polished front-running display on Miss Rose De Lago to bring up her treble in The Champagne Pommery Masters Hcp (1800m) on Saturday.

"It's something I've always wanted to do throughout my whole career," Mallyon said.

"It's fantastic to get it done today, especially as I'm trying to outride my claim."

Mallyon moved to within two wins of outriding her metropolitan allowance and has until the end of August to achieve her goal.

"I've worked out there's about nine metropolitan meetings left and hopefully I can get it done," she said.

"That's my next mission."

Mallyon said it was especially pleasing to notch her first city treble at Caulfield and for three different trainers.

She said John Sadler (Japhils), Quinton Scott (Forgeress) and Danny O'Brien (Miss Rose De Lago) had all been great supporters.

"I love riding here and especially for the trainers I've won for today," she said.

"They have been big supporters for me through my whole career and it's been great to get a winner for them too."
