For the first time in more than a fortnight all the contenders for the jockeys' premiership will be in action at a Melbourne metropolitan meeting.

Damien Oliver, Craig Williams and Dwayne Dunn will all ride at Flemington on Saturday.

With just over a month of the season to go, nine-time Melbourne premiership winner Oliver and four-time winner Williams will be out to claw back Dunn's two-win lead.

Dunn has not won a Melbourne premiership and is enjoying this season's battle.

"I'm not usually this close, this close to home," Dunn said.

"I'll just enjoy it for what it is and if it happens it happens, and if it doesn't I've had a serious crack at it and I'll just enjoy the ride."

Williams and Oliver missed meetings recently through Royal Ascot commitments while Dunn rode a treble in their absence at Moonee Valley last Saturday.

Oliver rode Wandjina who was unplaced in the Diamond Jubilee Stakes while Williams was aboard Brazen Beau who went agonisingly close to winning the Group One race when second to Undrafted.

Oliver has not ridden at a Melbourne metropolitan meeting for 2-1/2 weeks.

He missed the Flemington meeting two weeks ago as he was recovering from concussion and general soreness after a race fall at Bendigo on June 11.

He has had this week off for a short break after Royal Ascot on his way back to Melbourne.

Oliver has five Flemington rides on Saturday with De Little Engine favourite for the Banjo Paterson Series Heat.

Williams and Dunn each have eight scheduled rides.
