Boss and Parish suspended at Sandown

Monday 26 January 2015, 6:46pm

Jockeys Glen Boss and Cory Parish were each suspended on careless riding charges at Sandown on Monday.

Boss was outed for 10 meetings and Parish seven.

Boss begins his suspension immediately and can return for the Seymour meeting on February 5 while Parish begins after Ballarat on Wednesday and is free to resume at Sandown on February 4.

Boss entered a guilty plea to a careless riding charge aboard Swing With Me in the Robert Hunter Handicap which saw Noela's Choice (Craig Williams) and Oh So Assertive (Remi Tremsal) tightened near the 1000m.

Parish, who had originally pleaded not guilty before changing his plea, was found guilty of careless riding aboard Berisha in the Manfred Stakes when shifting in onto Bascule (Craig Williams) near the 1000m and Affirmation (Mark Zahra) forcing them to be tightened.
