Sheikh Fahad buys Just The Judge outright

Wednesday 3 December 2014, 8:39am

Just The Judge will remain in the Qatar Racing silks next season after Sheikh Fahad went to 4.5 million guineas ($A8.62 million) at the December Mare Sale at Tattersalls.

Fahad joined the Sangster Family as a part-owner of Just The Judge towards the end of her juvenile season.

She clinched Classic glory earlier this year with a brilliant victory in the Irish 1,000 Guineas and finished third in the Breeders' Cup Filly & Mare Turf.

Fahad has now bought out the Sangster Family, but has gained a new partner in The China Horse Club.

"This is a new, one-off tie-up with The China Horse Club," the sheikh's racing manager David Redvers said.

"This has allowed us to race another year with Just The Judge and keep her.

"As she was our first Classic winner, we were not going to give her up easily.

"She will come back to Tweenhills for a holiday and then go back to Charlie (Hills).

"We will campaign in the best races, give her the best possible opportunities, and then she will retire to Tweenhills and visit the best stallions in the world."
