STUNNING OLE KIRK FILLY
CLOSELY RELATED TO ALVERTA AND INTUITION

We love first season sire OLE KIRK, having already purchased a couple already, we couldn’t help ourselves and bought the first one offered at the Inglis Premier sale. No buyers regret here though! She is a filly, a lovely cut of a horse from a city winning mare, half to stakes winner, INTUITION from the family of Group 1 star, ALVERTA. Horse Shares are available in this filly to be trained by Annabel Neasham fresh off her Group 2 win on Saturday, 2nd March!

Annabel will add her polish to this filly and as a result, Annabel will give her the best chance to succeed at the track.

Our Filly passed 100% on her x-rays and clinical examination and was rated as low risk and suitable for syndication.

Comments - Trainer Annabel Neasham: Very excited to be training this gorgeous OLE KIRK filly out of Transmitter for Blueblood. She’s a gorgeous filly out of 3 time winner, really happy to get one of OLE KIRK’S progeny in the stable. He was a Golden Rose and Caulfield Guinea’s winner and was a beautiful strong type just as she is; big physique plenty of strength and a nice mover.

Comments - Racing Manager David Mourad: We have secured lot 29 from the Inglis Premier Sale, a beautiful filly by OLE KIRK, what a race horse! He was Champion 3yo of his time, exceptional type he was, he had the looks, the pedigree and did it on the racetrack and I think he will do it as a stallion, based off the types he is producing. I think he is going to be very successful, love what I’ve seen from his progeny that’s why we have secured a couple of them already this year. This filly is out of the Medaglia d’Oro mare, Transmitter. She was a fast speedy Metropolitan mare, lovely medium athletic size filly, moves over the ground very well, very well put together and a great conformation.

The Sire: OLE KIRK

OLE KIRK - Australian Champion 3yo Male. NSW Champion 3yo Colt. An excellent outcross – free from Danehill. By Champion sire WRITTEN TYCOON, from a full-sister to Champion BLACK CAVIAR and a half-sister to Champion ALL TOO HARD. “Ole Kirk – one of the best-bred horses in the world.” – Sebastian Hutch, Inglis General Manager of Bloodstock Sales.

Exceptional first crop weanlings sold for $200,000 in 2023. “Ole Kirk has done a fantastic job with his first crop foals; he has stamped them with so much quality. From the fals I’ve seen they are all very correct and have strength, substance and balance.” – Paige Belsham, Lustre Lodge Averaged 165 mares in his first two seasons at stud. Dual Group 1 winner of the Group 1 ATC Golden Rose and Group 1 MRC Caulfield Guineas. Stakes winning 2yo on debut.

Earnings of over $2.15 million and defeated Group 1 winners Tagaloa, King’s Legacy, Mo’unga, Lunar Fox, and Rothfire as well as Group 2 winners Mamaragan, Grandslam, Peltzer, and Poland across his three Stakes wins.

“OLE KIRK must be THE hottest stallion prospect in Australia. Stakes winner on debut at 2, dual Group 1 winner at 3, Danehill free, stallion’s pedigree – All Too Hard & Magnus, by Written Tycoon, a throwback to Black Caviar in there – he ticks all the boxes!” – Damon Gabbedy, Belmont Bloodstock.

The Dam: TRANSMITTER

TRANSMITTER by Medaglia d’Oro out of an EXCEED AND EXCEL mare, RADAR. TRANSMITTER was a city winner over 1250m and also won at 1000m. She placed 3 times in town over 1100m and 1250m. The family includes ALVERTA, winner of the Group 1 Coolmore Classic and INTUITION, stakes winner and daughter of RADAR (2nd dam).

Trainer: ANNABEL NEASHAM

Growing up in the Northamptonshire village of Croughton in the United Kingdom, Annabel honed her horsemanship skills through eventing, show-jumping and hunting.

It was the British jumps scene that first hooked her into racing, avidly following National Hunt events such as the Cheltenham Festival.

In 2016, Annabel took up the opportunity to travel to Australia – for what was meant to be a working holiday. She never left, and now can’t imagine being anywhere else.

After six months with Gai Waterhouse, Annabel relocated to the Caulfield stable of Ciaron Maher. Learning from one of the best horsemen in the country, Annabel was able to work with quality Group 1 winners such as Jameka and Merchant Navy. Maher soon put her in charge of the Sydney branch of the stable, which was established in 2018. Under Annabel’s watch, the stable recorded more than 50 victories in New South Wales in its first two seasons and unveiled a string of high-quality young horses such as Dubious, Prague, Away Game, Holyfield and Cellsabeel. The strong results paint a clear picture of Neasham’s training talents. Her two years at the helm of Ciaron Maher Racing’s Sydney stable have also familiarised her with her surroundings at Warwick Farm, where she was granted 36 boxes to begin her solo training career in the 2020-21 racing season.

In 2018, a notable demonstration of her riding and horsemanship capabilities, Annabel won the famously gruelling Mongol Derby.

The Mongol Derby is the world’s longest horse race, run over 1000 kilometres across ten days. In an extraordinary test of stamina and skill, riders spend 13 or 14 hours in the saddle per day. Annabel teamed up with Adrian Corboy, another highly capable horseman who works as Maher’s breaker, to score a momentous victory.

This supreme achievement means that Neasham can lay claim to having ridden a Derby winner – now she wants to train one. Since Annabel has started training, she has achieved 7x Group Ones, 8x Group Twos, 2x Group 3’s and 9 listed races.
