THE SIRE


FIGHTING SUN raced just twice before injury, resulting in two wins including the Listed Canonbury Stakes for two-year-olds.


Being a son of the outstanding racehorse and sire NORTHERN METEOR and Group 1 winner IRISH DARLING, he was secured for stud duties by Sun Stud. His first crop of yearlings averaged more than $60,000 and nine of that first crop have won.


His progeny include the stakes-winner CHESS STAR and the Group-placed PLATINUM MAM’SELLE. Fighting Harada and Fighting Dragon have both won at metropolitan level also.


THE DAM


SET TO BOLT is a daughter of proven sire and broodmare sire RESET. She was unraced, but is well-related being a daughter of dual stakes-winner BARDEGO (G3 MRC Blue Diamond Preview (f) and Listed VRC Maribyrnong Trial S..).


She is a half-sister to five winners including Group 1 winner VOLPE VELOCE (G1 ARC Railway Stakes in NZ, plus 9 other races – four at stakes-level) and DELAGO BOLT (Listed Canberra Black Opal Stakes, plus 4 other races and no less than eight stakes-placings).


This is Set To Bolt’s second foal. Her first foal by Casino Prince, has won twice in Australia.


THE SHARE PRICE


$2,500 per 5% includes GST, all costs to 31-Dec-2018 plus insurance to 31-Mar-2019.
