Golden Slipper winner Vancouver is the favourite to add Sydney's first Group One race of the season to his resume.
The TAB has installed the unbeaten Gai Waterhouse-trained colt at $3.50 for the $1 million Golden Rose (1400m) on September 14.
The Peter and Paul Snowden-trained Pride Of Dubai, winner of the Blue Diamond Stakes and ATC Sires' Produce Stakes is at $8 with J J Atkins winner Press Statement from the Chris Waller stable at $11.
In her track notes on Tuesday, Waterhouse said Vancouver pleased rider Steve O'Halloran in a 1000m gallop, running his last 200m in 11.5 seconds.
Waterhouse later tweeted Vancouver would run in a barrier trial on Friday week.
The colt had four starts as a juvenile and will go to Coolmore Stud at the end of his three-year-old season as will Pride Of Dubai, his only rival for this season's champion two-year-old honours.
Pride Of Dubai has also had four starts for his two Group One wins and two minor placings but has never met Vancouver on the racetrack.
Slipper runner-up English, a stablemate to Vancouver, is at $15 for the Golden Rose in a group which includes Lake Geneva who ran third in both the Blue Diamond and the Slipper.
