POPPY DARLING is the 3yo daughter of PLUCK from the speedy Metro winning Danehill mare DEFIANT, a daughter of Group 1 Newmarket Handicap winner RUFFLES.


Her 3/4 brother DEFINITELY READY is the Sandown Hillside Track Record holder over 1000m leading all the way in 55.07 sec with a 32.42 last 600.


She is also half to the Listed winning sprinter NOTONYOURLIFE who has 5 Metro wins to date.


Poppy Darling possesses great speed as expected with her pedigree, yet has not been finishing her races off.


She wore a cross over nose band for the first time last start and had the blinkers removed which did see her settle further back in the field, however again fading late in the straight.


This is a filly with a strong pedigree for stud after racing who will win races if she can improve on her finish.
