PRIME THOROUGHBREDS UPDATE 18/07/2018

Hussy’s Glow winning recently at Morphettville!!!

Will she be our 40th winner for the 2018/19 Season!!!

We have plenty of action on the track starting with the consistent mare Hussy’s Glow running at Sandown today.  She has been a terrific horse for her owners winning $165,510 on the track from her five wins.  She was stakes placed as at two and this ‘black type’ performance makes her a nice broodmare proposition going forward.  She is also by the great brood mare sire Hussonet.  A win today would really round out her cv as she is already a two-time Metropolitan winner in Adelaide and has been placed at Flemington.

We have a busy day tomorrow with Not Surprising kicking off proceedings at Gosford for Kris Lees where she meets a competitive field.

We will have up to four runners at Echuca with Eiffel Star, Honolulu Lass, Annaman and Zelsignoret having accepted.  Good luck to each of these four runners.

On Saturday we have a couple of high profile runners with Invincible Al down to run at Flemington and Casa De Lago accepting at Both Flemington and Morphettville.  Both these horses are in great shape and trained by Patrick Payne.

The New Season is only a couple of weeks off, and we have some of our very good young horses in work preparing for the big races. These include the star two years old’s Zizzis, Our Long Sali, Everard and Golden Script with Patrick Payne, Kris Lees and Darren Weir.

The Goldmarket winner Raido is coming along nicely with Tony Gollan and will be ready to race shortly.  I was thrilled with Reneged’s 3rd in the Grafton Cup.  John Thomson has done a great job with him and we will see him racing in Sydney in the next week or so and he may be targeted at the $1million Magic Million’s Stayers Cup in January.  Kissing Game is also not far off another win with John.

All of this year’s yearling purchases are going through our system and I’m pleased to report we have no issues with any which is positive.  We have really purchased some good racehorses in recent years and hopefully the 2018 Crop can continue our good fortune.

My eye is always on the Magic Millions day in January on the Gold Coast where we have had so much success.  I have purchased and managed the winners of eight Magic Millions feature races since 2010 and hope to be well represented again in 2019.

I hope you enjoy your racing and I look forward to a successful end to the 2018/19 Season where we have continued to punch above our weight.

Invincible Al Heads to Flemington on Saturday!!!
