Omei Sword trials quietly at Warwick Farm

Tuesday 10 January 2017, 11:32am

Group One placegetter Omei Sword has been given a quiet time in a barrier trial as she gradually builds towards her main autumn target.

The Chris Waller-trained filly was a dominant winner of the Group Two Silver Shadow Stakes in August before finishing second to Astern in the Group One Golden Rose on September 10.

Omei Sword was not extended as she beat one runner home in an 800m heat at Warwick Farm won by the Rick Worthington-trained Honesty Prevails on Tuesday.

Omei Sword is expected to resume in the Group Two Light Fingers Stakes at Randwick on February 11 with the focus of her campaign the Group One Coolmore Classic at Rosehill on March 11.
